Wedding in Liguria
Portovenere

foto di coppia a Portovenere, Liguria

A charming location, the Riviera Ligure,
Cinque Terre land of sea and culture.

Portovenere was chosen by Massimo and Melissa
as the setting for their wedding.

The couple was really very enthusiastic. Not only because of the location doe their event would take place, but also because we matched so well that they even decided to do a photo session before the event, also in Porto Venere, The Engagement (engagement photos) and after the wedding we also created a shooting called Trash the Dress. Of course, we didn’t ruin any of the outfits; we had fun taking couple photos while the couple was wearing their wedding day outfits. To differentiate the shoot from the event photos, I decided to use Vouge style and as the setting we chose the historic city center of Lucca.
Now all you have to do is scroll through the images.

Engagement in the village of Portovenere

It all started on an October morning, the sky was uncertain, but you could still feel the air of late summer.

Where are you?
-In a land that tastes of basil and sea, the hills seem to want to brush against the clouds, and the colors are brushstrokes of light and enchantment.

The bride's arrival by sailboat

In the beautiful location of Portovenere, the arrival of the bride by boat could not be missed. A dream!

Ceremony at St. Peter's Church in Porto Venere

in the province of La Spezia
The ceremony was held in this small building perched on a rocky outcrop, overlooking the sea called the Promontorio delle Bocche.
The church dates from around the 5th century and in the intervening centuries has undergone alterations with the addition of the bell tower and the black-and-white banded facade in the Genoese Gothic style.
An ‘ancient legend says that before the 5th century, there was a votive temple to the goddess Venus Ericina. Legend has it that the Goddess was born from the sea foam from which the seaside village of Portovenere would derive its name.

the photos of couples in Portovenere

The photographs of the bride and groom were taken on the beautiful terrace of the church from which we could savor the smell of the sea and the beautiful Skyline in the light of the sunset that framed the pictures under the loggia.

Wedding reception at the Doria Castle

The Doria Fortress in Porto Venere was the setting for the dinner and party where the couple decided to host their guests. Definitely majestic and fascinating scenery.
The castle dates from around 1160, and is one of the most impressive works of military architecture in testimony to the power of the Republic of Genoa. Also imposing is the front door, from which one enters a large room with a vaulted covered ceiling, and a flight of steps leads to the Hypostyle Hall, which shows cross vaults set on pillars; here the dining room was set up.

Trash the Dress in the city of Lucca

Do not be frightened, we did not destroy any clothes! Although it literally means “garbage dress.”
We chose as our setting the beautiful art city of Lucca, known for its Renaissance city wall with its 16th- and 17th-century ramparts. Also located is the home of composer Giacomo Puccini.
We created a more VOUGE-style shoot where the couple lent themselves for special and fun scenarios.
